Original Fireside Beanie

This beanie is a copy of one I started at Christmas for my best friend. I knitted it while sitting next to the fireplace enjoying that feeling of a warm fire when the air is cold.

The very first time I knit this beanie it was done using Whale’s Road from Malabrigo. I wanted to be able to show off the colors without it looks so flat. Or having a color change seem abrupt.

Since coming up with this pattern I’ve knitted it for 4 different people and have recieved several compliments. I’ve knit this particular pattern in several Malabrigo colors. Hollyhock is a great option as well as Syrah Grapes. For a more masculine color I can recommend Cielo Y Tierra (which I used for my dad).

This beanie knits up fairly quick and can be completed in a day if you’re really committed or a fast knitter.

This pattern is written for two sizes. Either a women’s medium or a men’s medium.
