Newborn Basketball Hat and Hoop/Net Cocoon Set

The download includes 2 files- one with pictures, and one without.

The hat is approximately 14” circumference and 5.5” tall.

The cocoon is approximately 14” tall, but can be easily lengthened or shortened by adding or deleting rows. This basketball hoop and net is ONLY intended for use as a newborn photography prop under direct adult supervision!

This pattern is a high beginner level, as surface crochet is used to apply the lines on the hat. Otherwise, only skills needed are magic ring, crochet in the round, slip stitch, chaining, single crochet, and double crochet. I can get 2-3 sets out of the 3 balls of yarn.
