Product Description
Prasa the piglet is the second amigurumi pattern of my crochet farm animal series. I like the color pink and if I can use it to make a stuffed animal, that would be great. I also like watching cartoons before where piggies were wearing sailor uniforms. They all look so cute so I made my own version of a wanna-be-sailor piglet amigurumi.

Nami Doll Amigurumi by Adorable Tinies
What Is Being Made
The Nami Doll Amigurumi is a crocheted stuffed doll character designed by Adorable Tinies. This downloadable PDF pattern creates a small, three-dimensional doll figure that can be completed as a finished craft project. The doll is designed to be compact and portable, making it suitable for use as a keychain or bag accessory. The finished size depends on the yarn weight and hook size selected, allowing crafters to customize the final dimensions of their creation.
Techniques Used
This project employs fundamental amigurumi techniques, which is the Japanese craft of crocheting small, stuffed toys and decorative figures. Amigurumi construction involves creating individual body parts separately and then assembling them together to form the complete doll. The technique requires understanding how to work in continuous rounds, increase and decrease stitches strategically to shape pieces, and stuff components with fiberfill to create three-dimensional forms. Assembly involves securely attaching limbs, head, and other features to create a cohesive finished doll.
Stitches Used
While the PDF content does not specify individual stitch names, amigurumi patterns typically utilize basic crochet stitches including single crochet for dense, tight fabric that holds stuffing securely. Increases and decreases are used throughout to shape the doll's body parts, head, and facial features. The pattern is classified as intermediate difficulty, indicating that crafters should be comfortable with fundamental crochet techniques and able to follow multi-step construction sequences.
Materials
- Yarn: 4-ply yarn weight is specified for this project, providing a medium thickness suitable for creating a small doll with good stitch definition and appropriate fabric density for stuffed amigurumi work
- Hook: A crochet hook appropriate for 4-ply yarn (typically a size E/3.5mm or F/3.75mm, though the pattern should specify exact hook size)
- Stuffing: Fiberfill or polyester toy stuffing is required to fill the completed body parts and create the three-dimensional form
- Additional Materials: Yarn needle for weaving in ends and assembling pieces; safety eyes or embroidery floss for creating facial features
Project Characteristics
This is an intermediate-level crochet project suitable for crafters with foundational amigurumi experience. The downloadable PDF format allows immediate access to the complete pattern instructions. The finished doll can be scaled smaller or larger depending on yarn weight and hook size selection, offering flexibility for different display purposes or functional uses.
