Mosaiikit - Mosaic yoke sweater is inspired by antique mosaic floors, where geometric patterns repeat across the surface. The warm golden brown of the sweater is reminiscent of sun-baked limestone walls in the Mediterranean.
The sweater is worked top down, holding two strands of yarn together: a wool-blend yarn provides warmth, while silk mohair adds softness. The result is a lightweight yet pleasantly warm garment. Short rows at the neckline ensure a comfortable fit, while ribbing finishes the neckline, hem and cuffs.
The versatility of the Mosaic Sweater makes it perfect for everyday wear. The short-sleeved sweater works beautifully as a layering piece, and the large colorwork motifs on the yoke are clear and enjoyable to knit. Best of all, you won’t have to spend long knitting the sleeves!
