Mosaic Daydreams

The blanket is worked in overlay mosaic crochet. Written in US and UK terminology.

The instructions are for a baby blanket, however, they include information about how to increase the size. The pictured blanket was worked in DK/8ply yarn. Any yarn can be used but the size will change depending on weight of yarn, hook size and tension.

This pattern is suitable for mosaic beginners and includes general instructions on how to crochet mosaic overlay and how to follow the chart.

There are written instructions and a chart (marked with Xs). It is a large pattern repeat of 72 stitches by 35 rows. The pictured blanket was finished using a crab stitch around the border. This pattern does not provide instructions for crab stitch. There are many YouTube videos that demonstrate how to work this stitch.

When choosing yarn, it is important to choose contrasting colours so the pattern stands out. Patons Sierra and Carnival yarn were used for the sample.
