This poncho is worked in rounds from top down. After the neck is done, increase at front and back all the way to the bottom edge. When you alternate MC and CC, twist the yarn one time at the round joins. The round joins should be placed to the center of the back. The length of the poncho is very flexible and can be changed by adding up or taking away pattern repeats. In this case, always purl for first round of garter stitch, and knit for 2nd rnd.
