You will need two skeins of dk weight yarn, in contrasting colours.  I used Morning Bright Holistic Merino DK, in Moonlit and Oak colourways for a very subtle look.  The more contrast you have between colours the better the oak tree will stand out in the moonlight.  There are charts for a bare branched oak, and a fully leafed out oak tree as well.  Choose either one, or both trees to adorn your cowl.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA provisional cast on allows you to easily join the start and finish rounds of the cowl on the inside (skin side).  Beginners may choose to use a regular cast on and bind off, and seam the ends together.
