Molly's Maine Cowl

This pattern was inspired by and designed for my dear friend Molly. She’s a park ranger who has lived in so many different places, but seems to always end up back in Maine. Basic Information:

Pattern is written in US crochet terms.

Pattern is written for one size that will fit most older children and adults. The circumference of the cowl can be adjusted using a repeat of 12 stitches.

Yarn: Sport weight (CYC weight 2). Approximately 420 yards. I used approximately 390 yards of Me and Ewe Golden Ewe Sport (100% SW merino, 328 yards/100g) in the color Teddy Bear Brown for my sample.

Hook: 3.5mm and 3.25mm, or size needed to meet gauge and one size smaller.

Finished size: Laying flat, the cowl measures 11.5” wide and 10.25” tall.

Gauge: 22 sts by 18 rows = 4”by 4” in the main cowl pattern.
