Mittens "Rasante"

For a long time I pondered the idea of designing diagonally striped mittens with integrated thumbs, and here they are! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, YOU WILL WORK THE MITTENS IN ONE PIECE WITHOUT ANY SEWING! The trick is an interesting mix of knitting in rows and rounds, using provisional cast on and three-needle bind-off. All my test knitters told me that the first mitten they knitted seemed a bit complicated, but once they understood the system, they considered it rather easy.

RASANTE ist ein Fäustling mit integriertem Daumen, der OHNE NAHT IN EINEM STÜCK gestrickt wird – eine völlig neue Konstruktion macht es möglich. Die reich bebilderte Anleitung enthält vier verschiedene Größen, die mit unterschiedlichen Garnstärken noch weiter variiert werden können.
