Milky Chai Socks

Handknit socks and chai latte for me evoke feelings of warm, comfy cosiness. As the leaves are turning and Autumn is making it’s colourful entrance there is nothing better than a freshly brewed milky chai filling the room with it’s wonderful spicy aroma while you slip your feet into the softest hand knit socks.

As the temperatures are dropping my mind has been on all of the lovely cups of chai I am going to enjoy this season and this sock pattern emerged from those cosy thoughts. They have a lovely lace pattern inspired by the lashings of frothy milk I like to add to my mug of chai which flows into a simple rib inspired by cinnamon sticks - one of the delicious, sweet and warming spices that makes chai so very yummy. The socks also feature an eye of partridge heel flap and a rounded wedge toe - a pleasing and well fitting combination.
