Meg’s Market Bag

I designed this market bag to take to farmers’ markets as it is roomy and stretches to fit lots of fresh produce in . It is also stylish enough to use when you go out for a coffee . It is crocheted in one piece and the strap is the only small seam . Imagine my surprise to find it’s the same bag as a smaller version my grandmother made me about sixty years ago .

You are welcome to make some to sell but please don’t sell my new pattern . I’d love to see your photos if you make it . It's the fourth market bag I've designed and this one is written in both UK and US terms . I love how it uses recycled cotton yarn as it's a great yarn for the bag and the "String" colour is perfect for a string bag ! Luckily , it's machine washable too .
