What is Being Made

Life out Loud is an original knitwear design by Justine Turner that creates beautiful knitted blankets and throws available in two versatile sizes. The pattern includes both a Bassinet blanket measuring approximately 60 x 60 cm (24 x 24 inches) and a Cot blanket measuring approximately 100 x 135 cm (40 x 54 inches). These blankets are ideal for gifting, nursery decoration, or personal use, offering flexibility for different spaces and needs.

Techniques and Stitches Used

Materials and Yarn Specifications

This pattern uses assorted DK weight yarn (8ply), offering flexibility in fiber content and composition according to the knitter's preferences and washability requirements.

Bassinet Size Yarn Requirements: Approximately 128 metres (140 yards) in each of 7 different colors, allowing for a multi-colored design that brings the "Life out Loud" concept to visual life.

Cot Size Yarn Requirements: Approximately 290 metres (319 yards) of each of 7 different colors, with each ripple section using approximately 10 grams of yarn. The total yardage can be distributed among the seven colors as desired by the knitter.

The pattern accommodates both main colour (MC) and contrast colour (CC) yarn selections, enabling creative color combinations. The choice of yarn composition, washability, and specific fiber content is left to the knitter's discretion, making this pattern adaptable to various budgets and care requirements.
