Is it a shawl, a wrap, or a scarf? It's all three!

This gorgeous cabled wrap has a shawl collar to keep the back of your neck warm, whether you wear it over your coat as a decorative accessory, or as an indoor accessory. Alternatively, wrap it around twice, with the shawl collar covering your mouth and chin, in self defense against winter's bitter cold. (I live in Minnesota. These sorts of considerations are important!) Lose the shawl collar, and select a lighter yarn, and you've got a wrap that works in milder weather.

The shawl features nine traveling cable motifs (there are really five, as the last four are reversals of the first four), most adapted from motifs found in Elsebeth Lavold's books. This is no boring rectangle of repetitiveness!
