The design is available in multiple sizes ranging from small children through adults, with the 5+ adult size stretching to fit most head circumferences up to 60cm (23.5 inches).

Construction and Techniques

The Laura balaclava uses a mixed knitting technique approach. The hat portion is knit flat, meaning it is worked back and forth on straight needles to create the crown and rounded top shaping. The neck section transitions to in-the-round knitting, which creates a seamless tubular fabric for the neck opening. This combination of flat and circular knitting allows for efficient shaping of the crown while maintaining the continuous fabric needed for the neck band.
