MATERIALS
Yarn: 5 skeins of The Meri Wool by We Are Knitters (100% superwash merino, 149 yds / 136 m – 100 g), colourway Spotted Green. If you decide to use another yarn, you will need approx. 740 yds / 677 m of chunky-weight yarn.
Needles: US 8 / 5 mm straight or circular needles.
Notions: Row counter (optional).
GAUGE
17 sts x 20 rows to 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch, after blocking.
CONSTRUCTION
This scarf is worked from side to side from the bottom up. Letters are created with Stockinette Stitch on a Reverse Stockinette Stitch background. A border worked in Garter Stitch adds structure and prevents the edges from rolling.
MODIFICATIONS
The length is easily adjustable. Make fewer or more repeats to make the scar
