I named the shawl after my dear friend, Joy, who gave me the yarn that inspired the shawl as a birthday gift. Joy would also work well in a solid, semi solid, or even a fade. The pattern is written in two sizes. There is a lot of 2 x 2 rib in the shawl, but the end result is a beautifully draped fabric that is wonderful to wrap up in.
