Ithanus Hat and Scarf

This is a crochet pattern for an interesting, yet simple, hat and scarf. It features a unique textured stitch which is achieved by a modified sideways cluster stitch. There is a photo tutorial of how to work this stitch included in the pattern.

The Ithanus Hat and Cowl gets its name from a mythical prison fortress created by my sister. We think the texture of this set resembles the stone walls.

Sized to fit the average adult (head 21-22 inches). The scarf is about 65 inches long. You could easily make this a little bigger or smaller by using a larger or smaller crochet hook.

Requires worsted weight yarn and size H (5mm) crochet hook or hook required to obtain correct guage.
