Ingwaz

Runes are an important part of our human history. They were the beginnings of some of our first alphabets. I wanted to incorporate some runic symbology in this hat( using stranded colourwork technique), the “strokes and traits” of the Slavic number 3 x 3 and the Norse rune of Ingwaz. Ingwaz, a Norse god, was able to unite his people and create a time of harmony and peace. He represents health and a strong family. A pleasant sentiment as we keep our head warm in times of cold.
