The warm and toasty color comes from careful hand-dyeing in Kismet Fiber Works’ studio in Buchanan, Virginia, right on the James River. As spring nears, I wanted to create a sock in a sunny color with a pattern associated with spring- and the sound of buzzing bees - so I used a “honeycomb” cable stitch pattern right down the front of the leg and on the instep of these socks, knitted in the color of sunshine.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe pattern is written for working in the round with double-pointed needles.
