Holiday Poinsettia square

This features a poinsettia flower and leaves on a square shape with a thin border, and would work great to create Christmas & Winter decor such as blankets, pillows, satchel bags, placemats, etc.

This pattern includes a fully marked chart & written row-by-row instructions.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”.

You will need 2-3 colors of yarn - one for the background, another for the border & leaves, and then a 3rd for the poinsettia petals.

This is a great way to use up scraps! For projects using all 3 colors, you will need approximately 2 oz of the background color, 1-1.5 oz of the other 2 colors, when using a worsted or aran (wt 4) type of yarn & a 5mm or 5.5mm hook.
