Hebden Gilet Jacket Knitting Pattern

The Hebden Gilet Jacket is an easy-to-wear extra layer for your toddler or youngster, helping to maintain their core temperature as the temperatures start to fall. The gilet can be quickly slipped on over a T-shirt or top when they are playing outside and provides extra warmth without restricting their arm movements. It can be worn open or snapped shut with large feature press-studs. The jacket is worked in a soft merino wool yarn and the pattern includes six sizes to suit kiddies aged 2–12 years.

Yarn:Lang Merino+, 100% wool, 90m/98 yds:50gm ball, gauge:17 sts:10cm/4 ins with 4.5-5.5mm/US #7-9 needles when using a single strand of yarn, Main Colour #152.0270 Charcoal & Contrast Colour #152.0004 Black.

Note:The gilet is worked using 2 strands of yarn held together throughout.

Techniques:Knitting, purling, decreases, slipped stitches, working with two ends of yarn held together, joining seams either by grafting or witha 3-needle Bind-Off.
