Hapu the Hippo

This pattern is for my Hapu the Hippo Amigurumi pattern. Amigurumi are mainly single crochet (UK double crochet) stitches, but for this pattern, you will need to know the following: *slip stitch *single crochet *double crochet Any special stitches used are clearly described in the pattern.

Materials: *worsted weight yarn in 1 or 2 colors (I used Red Heart Super Saver) *stuffing *one pair 10 mm safety eyes (a little smaller or bigger will work too) *E, F or G hook - whichever you normally use for amigurumi (3.25-4.25 mm hook - I use a G, but I crochet fairly tightly.) *Yarn needle to sew pieces together *Gauge is not important to this pattern. Your stitches should be tight enough that the stuffing does not show through.
