Hanafuda Curtains

These crocheted curtains were inspired by the traditional card game Hanafuda. The forty-eight cards in the deck are divided into twelve months, with each month represented by a specific plant. You will be using filet crochet to create the different motifs.

Stitches used (US terms) chain, double crochet, single crochet, slip stitch

Materials Yarn: Circulo Anne 1000 in 7529, 2188 yds

Hook: 1.5 mm hook, or appropriate for gauge Notions: tapestry needle

Gauge In double crochet 40 st x 18 rows = 4” x 4”

Measurements 43” wide by 31” tall
