Product Description
Clownie is ready for Halloween, dressed up for the spooky season! He is a seasonal twist on our classic amigurumi clown, Clownie the Crocheted Clown Doll. Halloween Clownie has a sewn-on face, with a gap-toothed grin, and he's sporting whimsical ruffles, jaunty hat, and just the right touch of Halloween flair. This project, which can be completed in about 10 hours for the average-speeded crocheter, is perfect for festive décor, gifts, or as a quirky companion for little ones who love a touch of spooky-cute.
Gauge is not important, and worsted weight yarn yields a Clownie that's about 14 inches long and 8 inches wide.
Red Heart yarn is a durable, easy, and economical yarn to work with, but experiment with different yarn types, weights, and corresponding hooks to change the size and feel of Clownie.
The pompoms do eat up a lot of yarn! But creating big, fluffy poms does enhance Clownie's swag.
