How to crochet an easy granny square table runner. And it can easily be worked smaller or larger by simply subtracting or adding squares. You'll need 810 Yards of Worsted Weight Yarn - I used WeCrochet Dishie, as well as an H8/5mm crochet hook. I used cotton because it's durable, and machine washes and dries well. If you intend on using with warm or moist items, I recommend cotton (or wool), otherwise any fiber works. Gauge is not essential unless the finished size is, but one 2 Round Square = 2.75". For reference, this table runner took me about 16 hours to complete. The squares are joined in a continuous manner (one tie on and fasten off) and with a join as you go with a method called Pull Loop Through (my favorite). There is a video tutorial included.
