Granite knitted beanie

The pattern for this textural beanie includes a play on the laddery lace design from my "Deep End' wrap. I love this patterning, and with the tweed yarn I used in this beanie it reminded me of the texture of granite.

It's tightly knitted on smaller than usual needles for a DK / 8 ply wool. This gives a tighter structure to the knit & density for warmth.

This is my husband's new favorite. It would look great knitted in other colours too!
