zIntroduction: Grand Haven is one of Michigan's featured Beachtowns, officially named Coastal Living's 2017 Happiest Seaside Town - even though it's on Lake Michigan, rather than Seaside. The soft swirls of this hat (as well as the beachy color) remind me of the waves along the beaches of Lake Michigan.
Finished Size: One size fits most teen and adult sizes. There are two versions - one made with large eyelets and one, warmer, with partially closed eyelets. By working with ldifferently sized needles or yarn, it's easy to adapt the size to fit.
Tools & Materials: Yarn – approximately 120-150 yards of worsted weight yarn, depending on version made
Needle – 16” (~80 cm) circular needle and 5 dpns, size US 7 (4.5 mm), or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions – 1 removable stitch marker, tapestry needle to weave in ends, scissors
Gauge – 18 stitches in 4 inches (10 cm)
