Ginkgo Garden Socks

Ginkgo trees are one of the oldest trees in the world and turn the most brilliant shade of gold as cooler weather comes in late autumn. There is a side street nearby my apartment lined with ginkgo trees, and every year both the trees and sidewalks (and cars) are lined with their little leaves like the ones on these socks. But careful – the female trees produce a very smelly fruit that can get stuck for days in the grooves of boots and shoes. Luckily, with regular washing, these ginkgo socks will not be so smelly!
