Gigi's Favorite Blanket

It seems that every month there’s a new baby at my workplace. This is my go-to blanket for the new babies; the sample pictured is for a dear co-worker friend’s new grandbaby. I used acrylic for washing ease for the new parents, but you can use anything you like.

Finished Size: Shown: 35” square, lightly blocked.

Yarn: I Love This Yarn, 100% Acrylic, 355y/199g. Sample knit in Medium Blue (Color A) and White (Color B). Entire blanket took 296g, or approximately 530 yards.

Needles: US #9/5.5mm circular needle, 32 inches or longer, and needles of the same size to work your preferred method to knit small circumferences in the round or size to make gauge.

Gauge: 12 stitches/20 rows per 4” in gently blocked stockinette stitch. Gauge is not critical for this item, but will affect yardage used and drape.
