Galaxy Swirl Beanie

Swirling galaxies come down to earth in the form of this beanie pattern with variations for 3, 5 or 7 colour swirls in each of 3 sizes.

VARIATIONS:

Use 2 strands of fingering instead of 1 strand of DK weight yarn. If using 2 strands, consider holding 1 strand constant and change the second strand to create a marled effect for the contrast colours, or make the constant strand mohair to add a halo to your galaxy.

Photos show Adult Medium/Large size in 7 colour variation modelled on a man with head circumference of 58.5cm/23” and Teen/Adult Small size in the 3 colour variation on a woman with head circumference of 54cm/21”. The pompom on the Adult Medium/Large hat was made using a 6.5cm/2.5” pompom maker.
