Fuzzy Monster Face Coaster

A wonderfully weird little monster-face coaster/mug rug — a flat corded base topped with a gathered round head, googly eyes with raised rims, tiny clawed hands and feet, antenna-like ears, a couple of teeth, and a wild tuft of hair on top.

Silly, fun, and a great conversation starter on any coffee table. Beginner-to-intermediate level, using basic amigurumi techniques (magic ring, increase, decrease, color change) plus a couple of fun details like an invisible eyelid rim and a gathered-stitch technique for the head.

Materials: worsted weight yarn held double, 3.5mm hook, small amount of stuffing, scraps of white and brown yarn for the eyes.
