Flossie the Sheep

This adorable sheep is so original, her fleece is made of curly cues that give her a fun and tactile finish. This pattern was written after I made a much larger version of this sheep for a craft show. That sheep took a month to make and had 555 individual curls attached to her body. It was all worth it though as she won first place! I had such a lot of interest in her that I decided to scale down the size and write my first pattern. This smaller version needs around 230 curls to make up her fleece and I came up with a way of making these in one continuous piece.

The finished sheep measures about 25cm tall, and uses mainly double knitting yarn. You can choose to use a thicker yarn for her fleece.

The pattern is well laid out with plenty of photos to illustrate the finished item. You don't need to be a very experienced crocheter to follow this patter, it is nearly all made using just double crochet stitches.

This sheep would make a wonderful gift, anyone is sure to fall in love with her!
