What is Being Made

The Solomon Gloves are fingerless knitted gloves designed by Josie Bailey of Peony Knits. These gloves are crafted to keep your hands and wrists warm while leaving your fingers free for dexterity and tactile work. The fingerless design makes them ideal for activities requiring hand mobility, such as typing, crafting, or using touchscreen devices, while still providing wrist and palm coverage.

Craft and Technique

This project uses the knitting method to construct the gloves. The pattern is designed at an intermediate skill level, making it suitable for knitters who have mastered basic techniques and are ready to work with circular construction methods. The gloves are worked on double-pointed needles using a technique that allows for seamless, tubular knitting in the round, which is the standard approach for creating fitted hand garments.

Stitches and Construction
