Both sweaters are knit\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eflat and seamed at the sides; the neckline is made by binding off stitches on one row and casting on the next. I made them drop-shoulder for simplicity, with the sleeves formed by picking up stitches on either side of the neckline. The Stockinette stitch cardigan has 3\/4 sleeves and ribbed\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eborders; the lace variation has short sleeves and seed stitch borders.
