Edinburgh Cardigan

Long cardigan, worked from top down, body back and forth and sleeves in the round. The stitches for the bottom of each pocket are then picked up and the pockets are worked from bottom up, adding a bit of cute colorwork. The sides of the pockets are sewn on by using Mattress stitch. The cardigan is designed to be worn with approximately 3” / 7.5 cm of positive ease which is already built into each size. Shown in size S.

The sample is worked in Tukuwool Fingering (213 yds / 195 m per 50 g skein, 100% wool). If you'd like to subsititute yarn, you'll need Fingering-weight yarn, approximately: 1213 (1340, 1486, 1649, 1822, 2022) yds / 1111 (1227, 1360, 1510, 1668, 1851) m MC, 149 (150, 153, 164, 168, 171) yds / 136 (137, 140, 150, 153, 157) m CC1 and 9 (9, 9, 11, 11, 11) yds / 9 (9, 9, 10, 10, 10) m CC2.

GAUGE 22 sts and 32 rows in Stockinette stitch using larger needles = 4” / 10 cm, blocked.
