Easy Doughnut-Shaped Pet Bed

This is such an easy project to make, and your pet will love you for it - whenever I start a new one, my cats climb in as soon as they see the doughnut taking shape - most of the time I have to finish it around them, they refuse to get out!

The pet bed is made in one piece, stuffed and either slip stitched for the seam, or seamed with needle and thread. Over 30 step-by-step photo’s will guide you - these are added at the end so that you have the option to print without photo’s.

Instructions are included for 4 sizes (S, M, L, XL). Small is ideal for miniature dog-breeds, Medium for average cats, Large and Extra Large for most dogs. Guidelines are included for adapting the pattern to create your own novelty sizes as well.

Bernat Blanket or T-shirt yarn works well for a pet bed. However, this is a great project to use all your scrap yarn. You can achieve a similar sized result by using 3 strands together of a Medium Weight (4) yarn (Aran/Chunky) such as Vanna’s Choice from Lion Brand.
