Product Description
£1 from every pattern sold will be donated to Crohns Colitis UK!
This is a cuff-down sock pattern designed to be cosy and comfortable.
The amount of yarn needed depends on the size and length you are making. (see notes below)
This pattern also works wonderfully with sport weight yarn! Use the same needles and stitch count as with DK
For a looser fit or for wider feet try using a bigger needle such as 4mm.
**Good to Know!**DK yarn doesn’t tend to go as far as standard sock yarn/4ply so I thought you might find it useful to know how much yarn the largest test knit sample pairs took
Medium Size: Made to fit a UK size 5: 10 repeats of pattern set on leg and 14 sets on the foot = 86g
Large Size: Made to fit a UK size 5.5: 10 repeats of pattern set on leg and 15 sets on the foot = 87g
X-Large: Made to fit a UK size 10.5: 12 repeats of pattern set on leg and 17 sets on the foot = 96g

Duvet Day Socks by Loulabella Knits
What Is Being Made
Duvet Day Socks is a knitted sock pattern designed by Louise Skelding of Loulabella Knits. These socks are crafted to provide comfort and warmth for relaxation days, whether taken for stress relief or as part of managing chronic illness or disability. The pattern features yarns dyed by Gemma Kershaw of Snuggly Stars Yarns, combining both design and artisan yarn work into a single cozy project.
Craft and Techniques
This is a knitting project classified at intermediate difficulty level, making it suitable for knitters with some experience beyond the basics. The pattern utilizes sport weight yarn, which is a lighter yarn weight that creates fabric with good drape and definition—ideal for socks that need to be both warm and comfortable without excessive bulk.
Knitted socks typically employ circular knitting techniques to create seamless construction, though specific stitch patterns and construction methods are detailed within the full pattern instructions. The intermediate skill level suggests the pattern likely incorporates shaping techniques such as heel construction, gusset decreases, and toe shaping, all standard elements of sock knitting that require understanding of stitch manipulation and pattern reading.
Materials
