Drop Stitch Hat with Button-On Ear Flaps

This hat pattern was designed to match Christine Vogel’s Easy Drop Stitch Scarf pattern. It is a basic pull-on style hat but it includes directions for button-on ear flaps for when that winter chill ups the ante. Difficulty: Advanced-Beginner. This hat is knit in the round and the optional ear flaps are knit flat. Size: 22” Finished measurement: 20”

MATERIALS Yarn: Manos Del Uruguay – 1 skein (With this yarn, it is recommended to use 2 skeins at once, working 2 rows from one ball and the next 2 rows from the other). Fiber content: 100% Wool Yardage: 100 yds Gauge: 12 sts/4” in st st Needles: US 13 circular, 16” and DPNs in same size for crown (or any needle size that gives correct gauge) Notions: 1 Stitch marker; tapestry needle, 6 buttons – size 18 mm
