Knit an heirloom blanket for the special baby in your life. Although the pattern looks complex it is actually easy to knit and uses only knit and purl stitches. Suitable for a beginner with a little experience. The blanket is reversible, exactly the same on both sides. There is no wrong side. The blanket in the photo is about 30 x 33 inches and is meant as a car seat blanket but it can easily be changed to any size. The pattern calls for dk or sport weight yarn; I've used merino wool since it is soft and warm but you can use acrylic or cotton if you prefer.
