Dee's Braid Cable Beanie

This cute double brim braid style beanie is knit in the round bottom up, there are two sizes, child/teen & adult. There is also an option to make longer towards the end if needed.

The inner layer of the double brim is stockinette, the outer layer a 2x2 rib which is then joined to create a double brim.

Materials:

1.5 balls of Fiddlesticks Peppin 14, 115 grams (112 metres) for child or 138 grams (134 metres) adult size. Gauge 13 stitches 4"/10cm.

You could also use Heirloom Merino Magic Chunky, Malabrigo Chunky, Cascade 220 superwash grande or any similar yarn that recommends 6mm needles.

Also needed:

Cable needle

6mm, 16” circular needles

Stitch markers

6mm double pointed needles (for decreasing)

Darning needle

Advanced beginner level.
