Cyclone Shawl

Cyclone is a brioche & garter stitch shawl worked from side to side. Increases along one edge & decreases along the other create the asymmetric triangular shape. The syncopated brioche pattern features twists & turns that look much more complicated than they are, making Cyclone a great introduction to brioche. Optional tassels adorn the corners.

There are instructions for two versions: 2-color version & 5-color gradient version.

yarn:gradient version: Handmaineknits Twist Sock; 400 yds/366 m per 100 g; 80% superwash merino/20% nylon. MC: 2 skeins in Charcoal; CC1-CC5: 1 Gradient Set in 99 or five mini skeins at approx. 80 yds/73m (20 g) each.

2-color version: Marianated Yarns Scrumptious HT; 400 yds/366 m per 100 g; 80% superwash merino/10% cashmere/10% nylon. MC: 2 skeins in Marianberry; CC: 1 skein in Morning Mist

gauge 22 sts & 48 rows = 4”/10 cm in blocked Garter stitch, 20 sts & 58 rows = 4”/10 cm in brioche pattern.
