Product Description
Sizes 3-6 mos. and 9-12 mos. Tension gauge over band (cake colour): 16 sts and 24 rows = 10 cm / 4" over pattern stitch and 5mm needles.
You need about a half ball each of a smooth bulky weight "cake" colour yarn (30 - 40 m approx) and a fluffy bulky weight "icing" colour yarn (40 - 50 m approx).
You also need about 10 m /11 yds of a fine crochet type thread, like "susi", in red for the cherry. A minimal knowledge of crochet is required for the cherry.
You can either use about 30 m /33 yds of a fine yarn for the "piping" I-cord, or a bag of small beads for "sprinkles". (I would not use large beads, or any at all on an older baby's hat, as they may chew them off).
