Crochet Vintage American Sontag Pattern

This crochet pattern is very easy to follow, and creates the most beautiful and elegant "sontag"; this sontag is a vintage Victorian shawl/wrap which features two ties on either side of the shawl. This crochet project is inspired by a 19th Century Vintage Shawl I saw.

This shawl features a C2C stitch and an elegant and simple border.

For this project you will need:

3 skeins of Scheepjes Chunky Monkey yarn in shade Deep Fuschia (or any chunky/bulky yarn of your preference)

1 skein of Scheepjes Chunky Monkey in shade Blush

6 mm crochet hook

A pair of scissors

A tapestry needle

Size of finished shawl (excluding the 2 ties): 27” (68,5 cm) x 66,5” (170 cm)
