Country Comfort Mittens

The Country Comfort Mitten Pattern gives you a very warm and super comfy pair of chunky mittens using Loops and Threads Country Loom yarn or Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick yarn.

This pattern will require one full skein of Country Loom yarn and a J (6.00mm) Hook. To get correct sizing, the gauge using the J Hook is as follows: in a 2”x2” stitch area you should have approximately 5.5 sc stitches and 5 rows. Adjust Hook size to meet proper gauge.

NOTE: you can use Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick yarn in this pattern, you’ll need 2 balls of yarn and a K Hook to get the same sizing. The gauge you’ll need to meet when using this yarn is within a 2”x2” area, you should get 5 sc’s across & 6 rows.

The instructions outline making right and left mittens and give some tips on how to either add length or shorten the mittens for a more personalized fit. The finished mittens measure approximately 9” from top of the Mitten to the bottom of cuff and they measure approximately 4” across.
