Product Description
This cardigan is worked in the round, from the top down, and can be made in 6 sizes. The balloon sleeves are separated at the armpit and placed on scrap yarn whilst the body is completed. The cardigan is a loose fit, with a wide neck opening. Cuffs and bands are worked in 2x2 rib. The cardigan is worked back and forth in one piece, so the use of circular needles for the body is recommended. Sleeves are completed in the round, with increases to create the balloon shape.
The pattern doesn’t give instructions on working the bobbles in contrast colours, but I’ve popped a blog post on our website with info on how I did these rainbow ones, which was a special request from my granddaughter.
Sizes: 1-2yrs (2-4yrs, 4-6yrs, 6-8yrs, 8-10yrs)
Yarn: DK 50g x 4 (5, 5, 6, 7)
Buttons: 5 (6, 6, 7, 7)
Needles: Circular 3.5mm (US 4) & 4.00mm (US 6) & DPNs 3.5mm and 4.0mm for sleeves.
