Copious Cables Scarf

Enjoy knitting Cables? Then have I got the perfect project for you! Nothing but cables! Start with a plaited stitch ribbing, edges are a 3 stitch cable to give a rounded effect, the body a combination of several types and textures of cable knitting.

Knit in one piece with675 and 685 yds, DK weight yarn and #6 straight knitting needles. Pattern is in both entirely row by row written and charted instructions. Only other material needed is a cable needle.

Cable stitches used include 2, 3 and 4 stitch cables. The plaited rib stitch is described how-to in the abbreviations. Easy to do, and great texture.

As with most scarf patterns, substituting different yarns and needles sizes will give a slightly varied look but, go ahead, have some fun. I bet you've got something in your stash.
