Product Description
Cloudin are a visually stunning pair of socks, knitted using an attractive Shetland lace pattern on a tight gauge to create an attractive every day sock. They are knitted from the top down with a traditional heel flap, gusset and shaped toe. The design inspiration for Cloudin comes from the delicate lace pattern which creates the fabric on Johnson in The Vintage Shetland Project.
The socks are named after Cloudin, a two storey farmhouse located on the island of Vaila off the west coast of Shetland.
The sample aas knit in Susan Crawford Vintage Bluem Sock, a blend of 75% Bluefaced Leicester yarn and 25% nylon.
The pattern includes both written and charted instructions for the lace sections.
Susan is wearing the second size socks in the photographs.
The pattern includes instructions for three sizes.
