Closer and Closer Cardi

A buttoned V neck cardi for babies and toddlers, with raglan sleeves. Knitted flat on two needles, from the bottom up, the yoke is worked in one piece – therefore only simple sewing on the side and sleeve seams. This cardi is designed to be made in 2 colour stripes, from wide at the hem, getting "closer and closer" towards the shoulders, but feel free to change this if you wish. You can also use this pattern in one colour, with or without contrasting hems and cuffs. For the striped cardi you will need 2 x 50 gm balls of main colour for each size (possibly a third ball for the largest size); and 1 ball of contrast colour for the smallest size, 2 balls contrast for the other sizes.
