Product Description
A chunky, basket stitch baby blanket, that is quick and easy to knit. The pattern is ideal for beginners as it just uses a combination of knit and purl stitches. The blanket is knitted in one piece with a moss stitch border.
The pattern comes with instructions for three sizes; the smallest size being ideal for a car seat, buggy, stroller or bassinet. The larger size is perfect for a cot or crib.
Approximate sizes: Small 53 x 66cm (21 x 26 inches), Medium 77 x 77cm (30 x 30 inches), Large 77 x 98cm (30 x 38.5 inches).
Skills required: cast on, bind off, knit and purl.
The pattern has written instructions and also knitting chart instructions depending on your preference.
I have used Hayfield's Super Chunky with Wool, (Small x 4 balls, Square x 6 balls & Large x 7 balls)
Other super chunky yarns can be used as long as the required tension is achieved.
