Christmas Star Afghan

Mosaic knitting uses two contrasting colours of yarn, but only one colour is worked per row while slipping the stitches of the contrasting colour. On the wrong side, work or slip same sts as in the previous row. After completing these two rows, drop the current colour and work the next two rows in the second colour.

I made my Afghan using six square motifs, then joined them in one piece. Crochet is an excellent method for joining, as it gives knitted project more structure and reduces sag. You can make your afghan as large as you wish.
